Reveille, established in 1992, is a student-led, women's A Cappella group at the College of William and Mary. We practice twice a week (currently Mondays and Wednesdays) for 2 hours each.
We arrange all of our own music and our repertoire varies from year to year, with the exception of a few traditional favorites. Our repertoire contains music from the past and present, engaging a wide range of audiences. Our signature song (which is also our alumnae song) is “Make Me Lose Control” by Eric Carmen. New members learn this song by ear!
We perform at several concerts throughout the year, including the fall and spring A Cappella Showcases, the Parents Weekend A Cappella Concert, the Homecoming Concert, the fall and spring Final Concerts, and the more laid-back 'Wren Tens" that occur once per semester. We also perform in "gigs" throughout campus and the greater Williamsburg area, including holiday caroling in Colonial Williamsburg.
During the semester, we enjoy having date parties, mixers with other A Cappella groups, and Rev dinners. Every Spring we go on tour to another university to mix with their A Cappella groups as well.
